Stand Up! Girls Launches Free Online Class

Want to be a teenage stand up comic? Learn to write and perform stand up comedy this Spring. Stand Up! Girls is now offering a free, virtual stand up comedy class for teens. The class is designed to teach self-identified girls and gender non-conforming youth how to create & perform stand-up comedy routines. This class runs for eight weeks and is taught by Karen Bergreen, a comic, teacher, and New York Times and O Magazine recommended author. The class will culminate with a virtual performance showcase on Zoom open to family and friends on April 24th.

Do I have to want to be a comedian when I grow up?

Absolutely not. This class is a fun way to learn how to express yourself. 

What kinds of supplies do I need?

All you need is a device that connects you to the internet. 

Will there be snacks?

There will always be snacks if someone in your house provides them.
